The Clinical Observation of the 6 Cases of Bezoars

Abstract
|
|
|
6 cases of bezoars were observed and treated at Soon Chun Hyang Kumi Hospital.
3 cases of phytobezoars were caused by ingestion of persimmons or oranges.
One out of the other 3 cases had previously undergone bilateral truncal vagotomy and gastrojejunostomy for duodenal ulcer, 15 years ago.
The other 2 cases were suffered from peptic ulcer and had anti-peptic ulcer drug medication for more than 2 years.
From this, it may be postulated that ulcer medication may influence and cause the bezoar formation.
